Thanks for the good info. here, esp BeastX.
Some questions:
1. How does Kastam check docket price for the car?
Do they follow the model of the car on the registration document from overseas?
Or do they crosscheck manufacturer database with the VIN/chassis no. or engine no?
2. And how does JPJ verify the car?
Do they crosscheck engine no. with the manufacturer database or do they just follow the AP document?
Would appreciate very much anyone who can help, esp. those who have recently imported their cars.

Just considering this as overseas registration form is quite easy to 'amend' (they are not as strict as JPJ). So would it be possible to declare, for example a M3 as a normal 3-series? The overseas registration just mention the car as a BMW 3-series. |
