ask a stupid question,if sumone ask b4,then dun scold me......Let say now 2010,at japan a 2006 toyota estima is about RM88,000.00,do i need to find the docket price for it to import it into malaysia?

Ok,i found a list with all docket price http://media.paultan.org/pricelist.pdf

According to it,the docket price for estiam 2.4cc is RM72,380

so after i done the calculation with using http://www.floristhut.com/taxkastam4.htm

after -15%
=RM61,523.00

-58% for 4 years
=RM25,839.66

RM25,839.66+RM1200+RM387.59
=RM27,427.25

duti import=5%
Duti eksais=90%
sale duti=10%=RM5,471.74

all add together is RM32,761.85<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<THIS IS TAXATION FOR 1 ESTIMA?

so if my cost for estima is RM88,000.00+RM32,761.85=RM120,761.25<<<<<<<include taxation for 1 estima??

correct me if im wrong wif the calculation......

The car by Personal AP only need 2 years for the car to be under the ownership of the AP applicant before transfer is allowed. As long as you get your documents in order I see not much changes (as in the real person bringing-in the car that he owns, not selling the AP to others). Without runner (a person can do it without any additional charges, it'll probably takes you 1 or 2 days of your time).

2 years instead of 3 (as stated above). And a big difference: Commercial AP is limited to cars up to 5 years old. Personal AP... unlimited age.

Tax remains the same.

That's why the gov. may want to cut of these middle man (abusing personal APs) from earning big bucks.

Best it to go to the MITI and request a written check list.... fulfil all the requirements... it should be straight sailing... 2 weeks for AP application to be approved. With the AP in hand, everything else should be easy through customs (you'llĀ  only need to pay the tax). By right you should have your AP ready before your car reach Malaysian shores (or even before you ship the car). You may need a friend/family (or a good hired runner) on Malaysian side to go to MITI with your documents first (or yourself, fly back for holiday).

It's all in the clear.... no need for bigshot ("rasuah"/power abuse/throwing weight around) cable. If there are any places where you're stuck without any reasonable excuses, report to the MACC.

Thx for reply, another question pop up..

Let say i have a frenz at UK,i wan to buy a car from UK,then:

1: I have to buy it 9 month b4 at UK and let my frenz to use it 1st?
2: Then after the car has bring back to Malaysia, the car will be register under my frenz name?
3: If have to register my frenz name, then how those businessman buy the Student AP?Coz u mus register under that certain name, then in legal term, the car own by the Owner of the Student AP,then how they settle with the buyer??

Thx in advance!!

as long in the documentation stated the ownership adi more than 9month.. get what i mean??

You still can.... If you have proof that the car is his... (9 months + the months he's back, just to be safe)... Returning plane ticket proof, Stay in UK for more than 1 year proof.

Probably the additional documents/requirements (implemented this year) to to make sure of the 9 months of ownership is true. Like letter of ownership from the countries "JPJ"/department of motor-vehicle....

b.t.w. a personnel AP is only valid for 3 months....

2. Yes your friend's name for 2 years before transfer is allowed.
3. Shaddy businessman (undertable money here and there, anything can be done, especially the JPJ registration).... Being lawful citizen follow the rules (work within the boundaries)... Personnel AP applicant and car ownership must be the same (very trustworthy friend or family members will be the best for alternate car ownership)

Thx you.

For the bank loan, izzit if settled wif jpj,the ownership at the grant transfer to mine,i mean undertable money settle wif jpj, then i no nid my frenz's name to get a bank loan right?OR izzit student AP cant get any bank loan??
