QUOTE(Drian @ Nov 21 2007, 04:23 PM) Do you guys know how to buy shares in US? Once dow jones down at it's rock bottom I was thinking of buying citibank. USD at all time low + citibank at all time low. There is a website where I tried to register before. Forgot the site ady. Minimum USD50 to start trading. You will need to trade at night. |

Min Qty is 100 shares. Why not communicate with your remisier you wanna buy '100 shares' or '1000 shares'? Dats bcos 'lot' is very misleading. You are right dat 1 lot is supposed to be 100 shares. But lotsa ppl are still using 1 lot = 1000 shares 'cos it is still widely accepted.
Added on November 22, 2007, 12:38 pmOn top of the 4,100 you need to pay for Proton shares, you will also need to pay for brokerage, clearing house fees and stamp duty. This post has been edited by Ninjitsu: Nov 22 2007, 12:38 PM |

QUOTE(stella 1 @ Nov 22 2007, 12:43 PM) Thanks Ninjitsu. Nope, min. to buy/sell is 100 shares. Unlike US, min. is 1 share. You given me the concept now. so, this also mean the exact figure of 1 lot is * 100. so, how about minimun quantity ? 100 shares (which also mean 1 lot)? or can i buy 50 shares? Thanks Ninjitsu. |
