QUOTE(neekun @ Dec 31 2007, 09:30 AM) Check out the following attached pic of N95 8GB screen saver, it's so cool! i was wondering bout all these power saver mode screensavers.Instructions for installation can be found at http://www.thenokiaguide.com/my_weblog/200...-screen-sa.html Installer file needs to be signed, can someone help me to sign it :-) are they really conserving the life of the LCD? cause i wud think all white background makes the lcd fully functional (just no backlight). means the LCD is fully turned on all the time. cause black (the default pwrsaver mode) is actually full power off interms of LCD. any comments? also all white is more power consuming then all black (imo). |

yahoo! i just bought a crystal casing for rm8
looks so gud now....so shiny..hehe. just a slight problem sliding. slide 1 way (show keypad) no prob. but if slide the other way (music mode) a bit tough got some resistance because of the latch of the crystal case. i expected some issues, the clearence is so small for sliding phones. but if keep to sliding one way only, no prob. lol. oh well... can normally turn on the music from menu. Added on January 1, 2008, 5:17 pm QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 1 2008, 02:42 PM) The 4 corner/edge right below the slider plate already worn off, the first matt layer already peel off and can see the shiny layer like the top slider plate. i was scared of this. i knew from normal usage (put in pants, take out, put on table) the back will sure prone to scuffing @ worn @ gasak?. i quickly wanted to buy the crystal case because i dun like normal casing, a bit bulky (eg: leather case, etc). my 2nd option was get a cloth pouch About the scratch marks you mention, yeah there's also scratch and worn off part, also the same when you check the underside of the slider, there's also worn off part both slide up and down area, I think every unit will be like this lo, faulty design or perhaps wrong material used, never heard of such problem with classic N95 users though. 8gb casing also a bit hard to find (im in penang btw). ok la...rm8 for piece of mind This post has been edited by cky80: Jan 1 2008, 05:17 PM |

QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 1 2008, 09:04 PM) Luckily mine is 01, I think the built quality is above average although not impressive, I'm satisfied anyway. okay i saw the youtube demo. haha. But still, why not put the phrase "made in finland" rather than "made by nokia" if the unit is 01/10/00? I ordered invincible shield, still waiting for it. Anyway my phone housing already got scratch marks so no point to protect it now, will apply the shield when I need to change the housing. Anyway the invincible shield is just like skinning the phone, but with excellent material to protect the phone. actually its gud for scratches the invisible shield. but i got my crystal casing to protect a bit more on hard knocks, especially since the screen so big. not cheap also leh...n95 8gb is ~USD25.
