Yours might have "locked", perhaps unlocking is needed before flashing to new firmware.

FYI, Classic N95 also Video Editor gone with the latest update...

v1.0.38.9 - only can detect n95 not the n95 8gb. Use the newer version and it will work. I just debranded mine last night to get the update.

btw guys,how do u back up n restore ur files? i want to update to new firmwares but this backup thing is holding me back..how do u guys do it?

went to Nokia shop in Aeon Bukit Tinggi and get a feel of the phone.......their demo unit slide mechanism got a bit loose.....scary

i wan to ask one question,cause i might buying the phone..is the AP and ORI have any difference besides warranty? like slider mechasm faster loosen than the ORI or something similar to hardware or software based..and can AP update the firmware from here?

got a quest here. my current firmware is v 10 and i have not done my v11 update last time , but now i saw a few review on the latest v15 firmware update which is quite noticeable change on it.
the NSU detect my phone as v10 and the update was just v 11. izzit i have to update to v11 and then make a update again to v15 ? posibble if i update from v10 straight to v15 ?

Hey guys, i think there's a serious flaw in the camera application! The EV with positive values just plain won't work at all!

Simple example, take a photo with nuetral EV, and take another one with EV + ?? at your own choice. See if 2 picture has the same brightness. The EV- worked very good but hell the EV+ just gimme a nuetral picture as like no EV setting at all. I've read about the N95 vs I-Mobile 902 night shots, N95 EV is not really working! Anyone just do the test? I simply can't take better picture for night shots that way, simply no way...

It's a very useful app, just turn it one and when incoming call comes in just flip the phone and it will turn into silent mode. Good for me as i dont like hanging up the call as it is rather rude, so rather leave it ring in silent and do not pickup :-p

No, your help is very much appreciated, I just want to know if it's just me or it's a common problem. It's strange, I don't think this has relation to the hardware, not likely but small chance there is. The preview is perfect, but after taking the shot, still neutral EV setting.

By the way I think there's only ONCE I manage to take a bright photo because there's the light reflection and I want to force the light source overexpose, and it kinda did it though. But only once...

So yours is acting the same? This phenomenon pretty much render the EV useless cause most of the time positive value is needed to compensate the low ISO rate. Means if low ISO, noise will be very low but light sensitivity is very low too so need longer shutter to receive more lights by setting the EV to +1 or even +2.

I-Mobile 902 night shots are very impressive, but that is because even at night mode 902 is able to take low noise night shots at ISO 50 with the expenses of extra long shutter, and if N95's EV is working well then I can manually set the ISO to low and EV+2 to take night shots that's closer to the quality of 902, and able to capture tail lamps as well.

PS: if you don't already know, basically ISO means light sensitivity, low ISO is needed longer shutter time to receive more lights, high ISO has more sensitivity of lights thus shorter shutter time is needed and very usefull to take moving objects in low light condition, but the higher ISO it is, the more noise it is. So EV+ is very very useful now it's basically non existance...

guys, how do you force restart your phone when it hangs? It happens twice dy.. but dont know how to force restart, just plug out the battery.

By the way, CorePlayer is the best player for playing multi format, but built in realplayer is the one can utilize internal hardware so it's the most effecient player. Means, if can, always use the internal realplayer.
