QUOTE(cky80 @ Jan 21 2008, 11:29 AM) pigcat!!! why ur photos look so nice wan! summore its indoors No secret, you just have to know how digicam works. i took some pics indoors but mine not so sharp and vibrant...wondering how u setup ur pics? u got change white balance/ EV/ etc ?? got use photoshop or not later? i only get 'okok' pics when outdoors only when its bright...sigh. wats ur secret? The most basic thing is your hands have to be very steady. If you saw the preview picture you just captured a little blur, take another shot. Not quite critical during daylight cause the shutter speed is very fast, but when it comes to indoor you need more steady hands as the shutter speed is slower. Have a look at the first 2 picture, they're not cropped, but resized. Still looks blur right? Cause it's shot at ISO-500. The higher the ISO value, the picture will more blur, due to strong noise reduction, it makes the picture looks blur. I got no choice cause I need macro mode to do close shots, or else I'd be using night mode cause the shutter speed is longer hence only need lower ISO (night mode is useful for still picture, it'll still auto adjust ISO and shot at ISO-200 if light source is plenty but you'll still find picture brighter cause shutter speed is slower). Just learn to hold steady first you'll notice lots of difference. |

QUOTE(cky80 @ Jan 21 2008, 01:33 PM) oooo...cool! but how u know the ISO value ar? i see only low/med/high To check ISO (and other informations like shutter speed etc), download the jpeg, right click the file, "properties", "summary" tab and switch to advanced view (if it's in simple mode). You'll see lots of information including which camera was used for the photo. how bout the sharpness/smoothness? do u play that as well or leave as default... ok...will try to do more 'hand-steady' exercise to have clearer pics The ISO setting in Nokia 5MP family is only ISO-100 (low), ISO-200 (med) and high (ISO-400). If need more than that you have to set it to auto, that's the limitation set by Nokia. I never play with the sharpness, cause lazy to set it. Of course I'll always want more sharpness than smoothness but everytime I need to set flash off, white balance, and snap, or else I'll miss some scene due to late snapping. Oh if flourescent light you must set it to flourescent, or else it'll always too "white" in auto mode. |

QUOTE(HolyCross @ Jan 21 2008, 03:02 PM) Quite impossible for that to happen, you'll have to be steady when holding the camera especially when pressing the shutter button. QUOTE(cky80 @ Jan 21 2008, 03:10 PM) haha...me too! need to practice...so ask pigcat his special tactics. Where got special la... im not happy with my indoor shots...but outdoors is okay, so should be lighting and iso i thinks. practice makes perfect Yeah, practice is what you need, and try to figure out how to get your hands steady when pressing the shutter button. QUOTE(eyez98 @ Jan 21 2008, 04:01 PM) Yup, no stabilizer.QUOTE(chyuan @ Jan 21 2008, 05:47 PM) Both photo and video also got stabilizer, just N95 don't have for photo stabilizer. I always switch stabilizer on for video, smoother. Got bored, playing around something weird lol... ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by pigcat: Jan 21 2008, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(cky80 @ Jan 24 2008, 11:52 AM) wah pigcat. u can afford to take pics while driving? kakaka. its like the n95 is attached to ur head/eye already No lah yesterday was very jam, traffic literally just stop, and jalan a bit, then stop for a while again...So while stopping I just take some photos lo nice pics though if the car is moving, but ur hand is steady...does that equal good picture too? Taking photos at sunny day like that is pretty easy, as the shutter speed is quite fast so hands no need to be too steady. I've adjusted EV+1 or +2 for certain photos as it automatic compensate the building brightness for the sky, so I purposely overexpose the sky area and give the buildings/other stuffs brighter looks. Those photos I took still looked a little purple'ish to my eyes, unlike N82 daylight photos I saw at other websites which a little warmer and more accurate overall... |

QUOTE(Abie.C @ Jan 24 2008, 03:50 PM) thanks a lot. Seller told me this n95 8gb is warranty by avaxx/sapura. Just to enssure is under their warranty. There's no such thing as avaxx/sapura warranty, it's either by sapura, or avaxx. For that price, it's definitely too good to be true.Do anyone think rm2450 original n95 8gb worth to buy? |

QUOTE(Abie.C @ Jan 24 2008, 04:59 PM) I'm goin to COD next week. Can anyone guide me, what to check on the n95 8gb mobile? I'm new and do want to be scam victim. The only distributor for N95 8GB in Malaysia is only Avaxx. N95 8GB advertisement on the newspaper clearly shows that only Avaxx is the distributor (only Avaxx logo on the ad). Means, other than Avaxx set, there's no use even you bring your phone to zitron/nokia care center as it's not covered by official warranty. They'll layan you, only if you pay for the services/repairs.Is it safe enough for COD? Told you already, there's no Avaxx/Sapura set, it's either Avaxx, or Sapura. Ask him to give you final comfirmation whether he's going to give you Avaxx set or Sapura set. Once again the price is too good to be true. Whether you want to try your luck it's up to you, but for that price, he's probably give you Sapura set. This post has been edited by pigcat: Jan 24 2008, 05:21 PM |

Don't think so they probably check the sticker instead the internal imei...They'll take out the battery and battery cover and give it to you to keep it, and most probably directly look at the sticker... |

QUOTE(JoshuaLee @ Jan 25 2008, 03:10 PM) sapura is normally used for corporate / credit card purchase / bank promotions / government officials buying... they normally sell in a bigger number and not one or two units... Oh ok, great price there... avaxx is official SOLE distributor for individuals buying for personal use... if you were to get free phones from Maxis / Digi / Celcom promotions or post-paid line... you might get sapura phones too if its a corperate deal... like the maxis SME promotions... Sapura phones can be taken to any nokia care centre for repairs and etc... |

QUOTE(XdeafzX @ Jan 25 2008, 10:17 PM) zitron phone shop @ berjaya t.sq sell original? or issit rm30-rm40 is pirate 1? It's Berjaya Plaza, opposite Time Square la, the old looking plaza with starbucks in front. i dun mind actually bout d pirate, but labour charge is rm50? walao nokia care centre always kiasu ppl around meh? i didn know dat like dat i ask u pasang for me la bro can? heheehh Not really kiasu la just simply say but for sure they won't sell you spare parts, you have to pay the labour fees as well. Unfortunately I never try to mess with N95 housing, you need T5 or T6 star screw driver (not sure what's the exact name) to open/close the housing. Keypad no need screw driver so I pasang myself lo. |

Seriously, I don't see flipsilent/shutup worth sacrifice for battery life, as accelerometer will drain the battery quite fast?
Or I was wrong that it won't eat up battery much? |

QUOTE(ddww @ Jan 26 2008, 02:11 PM) yeah.. i understand wat you mean... the color processed is too cold... haiz... i found out that my N73 can produce a warmer color compare with N95 I wonder why GSMarena never mention the N95 family still producing purple'ish photos compared to N82? They got colour blind izzit lol... Anyway, photoshoped version of the fruits, just did "auto colour" and boost some contrast...Nicer? Although those oranges still looked over processed with contrast, but if don't compare with original I think OK... ![]() This post has been edited by pigcat: Jan 26 2008, 03:32 PM |
