You squeeze too much from the phone ler...Even a HTC 1350mAh also can only tahan 5 hours of GPS, so it's normal if you play GPS (and WiFi which I think use about the same amount of power) all day long it won't last more than day la.

No actually 128MB RAM is overkilling...I doubt anyone will ever see the out of memory warning anymore...

Guys I discovered something really unusual and weird about the battery usage!

Ok, in the past 3 days, my phone encountered excessive battery usage out of a sudden. It's like, out of nowhere the phone will get warm due to draining of the battery. I was like WTF?? The battery just suddenly dropped pretty quickly.

Then, I kinda tracked down where the problem existed. Apparently it was the camera application has some bug or something that left running in the background and draining battery! I was pretty sure it happened after I used the camera, if I'm not wrong, it has something to do with the flash and night mode. Cause it's already 3 times it happened after taking some low light photos with flash needed.

Before I confirm if it's a common bug for every users, please report if you have the same experience about this.

PS: By the way restart the phone will fix the problem but it's annoying that if you happened to take night photos and suddenly it drain off the battery say during vacation and want to shoot some precious moment that'll be kinda sux...

However, I just recently discovered no xenon flash is really PITA, especially when you needed it so badly but it's just not there...

...anyway I won't be needing it often, maybe once in a while though. 99% of the time I don't use flash...

BTW, anyone can check the battery issue that I mentioned above??

No it won't happen immediately, but later the phone might get warm. I don't think this always happen particulary after using night mode or flash, but it did happened after I use the camera. Hmm, you try night mode with flash and see? I do use it to test how bright I can get out of the camera even though the picture is useless without resize...

It also could be the firmware anyway, I truely think v11 is a joke and shouldn't be upgrade at all...

I don't think it can in anyway, at least if it has the old dock port then might be able to do like the old Sony Ericsson T68i able to add camera.

And, never like touchscreen stuffs anyway but I never know if it could change my thinking. 3.5" screen looks so promising though. Still if Nokia could just hide the keypad anywhere... However, bear in mind how are you going to play games with limited keys...

1. It's virtually everywhere. Eventhough you found it, you have to sign it. You need a license from symbiansigned.

3. Apparently the factory v10 firmware can silent by switch warning tone off (quite some people at hardwarezone claim they can), but mine v11 cannot...

Yes, even the camera will produce sound in silent mode. I remember it's been that way even on my E70 I think.

Anyway I can live with that no problem, yeah it seems like asian got more perverts...

Hmm I try again and see? Sometimes, the very first focus sound will be silent, then after that all focus and shutter sound all cannot silent liao.

Your phone most probably not APAC, but it's SingTel lol...Maybe that also explained why you cannot update firmware. Lots of people over the hardwarezone also can silent but it's a Singapore forum so most probably SingTel user can silent lo.

Hmm ok I'll double check what's happening exactly with the camera thing, it could be something else too...Finger crossed!!

Anyway just want to add some comment on the Martin Field protector. So I mentioned that I scratched the surface of the protector right, then after few days hoh, the scratch now seems invincible already (although you can still see it with certain angle of light but hardly visible when reading the screen)! Wow, now that's something quite impressive there ! I also bought the invincible shield anyway so I'll see if which one is better...

Added on December 12, 2007, 3:44 pmI don't want to bring so many devices ler especially travelling...Just 1 is enough...moreover I just need it for casual shooting, a 5MP photo resize to 640x480 with internal photo editor and share with friend is very convenient already...That's why Nokia flagship phones all so tempting!

Careful don't spoil the protector lol...Be gentle and make sure don't use stiff card with sharp edge...Although scratches will be invincible after a day or two but be careful loh...

Hmm I noticed the slider mechanism seems to become loosen more after few days of outing and put the phone in my jeans (not tight jeans though but not those hiphop big pants either). Looks like this phone really need extra care to prevent the slider mechanism ware out so soon.

Going to replace it after it get loosen until the point I cannot accept it...Or maybe will do the slider fixing trick...

No they actually listened, I've played with a test set at Pavilion hell the wobbly slider is worse than the 8GB. At least this felt more solid, but sitll, it's starting to loosen up and when push the lower left corver it can move sideway (actually a more rotated way). But still acceptable lo...Somehow the N82 is starting to attract me in a way, if it's not because N95 8GB got large screen and more battery I might trade in already to be honest lol...

Still love the slider concept, the only way to get big screen with keypads is using slider. Anyway N95 has already got plenty of power for my need...

...Better stop my day dream now...

I would say, it's actually a little thicker than I would imagine, however a thick film like that will prevent bubbles stuck under the film easily. Then it's quite scratch "proof" in a way, but it did scratch quite easily with a little sharper stuffs. However the scratches will gone invincible and won't affect the display view.

I'm a noob on applying screen protector and this one actually quite noob proof and easy to re-apply again and again. Moreover this provide all the necessary protection.

However, look at http://www.shieldzone.com before you commit. Martin Field cost around RM70 included shipping and invincible shield only extra RM20 included shipping.

Nope, noticed the flip is actually reversed. Original N95 pouch flip up, and that one flip down...

This is the one have to order from Europe, the price is around RM160 gua...Ash asked if order in bulk can have 8% discount.

I don't use pouch at all after applying the MFSP. Seems to hold up normal wear and tear quite well and no noticeable scratches so far (except the back part where the surface kinda soft so easily leave "marks").

Felt much more happy without the pouch.
