Sure. If I were in your position, I would. Why are you working so hard for? Most important is you can cover your monthly expenses without selling anything. Can you do that? If yes, you are ready to FIRE

If you need to sell off your assets to pay your monthly bills, you need to count correctly with huge huge cushion for safety.

Basically some noise from my dad

He’s very boomer like and very pro China

He thinks like the economy is bad because the youth are lazy..

That’s despite he benefited of working a nice western 9-5 job and a healthy pension 😂

If I do retire early he’s gonna prolly nag a lot

That’s prolly the biggest hurdle

If you retire early you must have things to do or else you will rot away.

Keep yourself busy with what you like.

My parents also like that, initially they are not happy that I choose not to work (LEAN FIRE). Then they accepted it. They told see if you can reach FAT FIRE (challenge). Hahaha.

Your time belong to you, your family and God if you believe in God. Not your country or company.

I can understand how tiring it is, then on top of that the nuances from parents.

The difference is, I already made that decision, with even less.

Perhaps you can start off by taking half a step.

1. Cut either one of your business. Especially the one that is eating your time up. But don't fill up your emptied out time with the remaining business.

Use that time to rest and do something different.

2. If your remaining business is profitable with a good margin, spend a little and hire a PA to help you with the business. Let PA handle the normal BAU stuff, while you do the decision making and also oversee the business from time to time.

If you don't have the margin to hire a PA, train your team in the business to take over the tasks and upskill them so that they can handle the BAU even if you are not available.

3. Then spend some time with your parents, take them to travel and experience new things together. I don't know whether you notice or not during your 7 years streak, your parents aged significantly. I did.

As much as sometimes you may find them annoying, your time with them is running out.

Last but not least find time to reconnect with your friends and hangout with new people. The reason you want to do this, is to have someone that you can talk to at the end of the day, hangout talk shit and do something together. If you are lucky, you might even meet your significant other.

Hope this helps.

You already got the money. You don't have time and time is something you cannot buy. Thai k about it. Do you need another 1m? Sure it will feel nice but is it going to be helpful? Don't think so.

yes that is sound advice

now the hippy new gen thinking
is is slog like hell nonstop
then felt burn out
and want to stop work at very early age

best example is someone in here... biggrin.gif
he work non stop sapu all over times  works
stinge to the max
live poorly below M40  tongue.gif

new cult(ure)? doh.gif

Is that a problem to slog non stop and quit working forever at around 40? I don't see anything wrong with that. Remember you cannot buy back time. You can buy more time. Time that is not yours if you are working for someone.

And what's wrong with living like a B40? Lots of FIRE people done it. It turbocharged their retirement age greatly. Suffer first, enjoy for life later. Good life.

bro what is lacking is time management, not no time!
you dont work till  you cant do anything else.

if time cant be bought, then money should be irrelevant.
why must premise you already have enough money?

Most people are crushed by the work they dont like
thus wanna run as fast as possible,
aren t you such an example?

then find the work you like
not by escapism
*
Why must premise have enough money?
Very simple. As pointed out by someone, he put the money into FD, don't even need to work. Isn't that enough money?

Wrong mostt people are crushed by work they don't like and paid very low and have lots of commitments.

Only if you are loaded. Can planting your own crops and walking in the jungle put food on the table. I like doing that but I am realistic person. Be realistic a bit la.

You need money to make money. Even work the work you don't like. Not everyone can start business and be successful, not everyone got fire power to keep buying properties. Some people have no choice have to be employee only.
