My job as contractor almost everyday meet many different strangers to solve their problem.

One word of advice for u all.

"Be polite."

Really important. Although u are paying good money for my expertise to solve your problem. Know that u are the one having problem u need my help. Talk nicely la. I am obligated to help, but please make it easier for me to help u. Start by being a decent human being.

Also PLEASEEEEEEEE. try not to badmouth your previous contractor no matter how bad the job (very subjective). Especially not when i meet u for the first time u already start complaining how the previous one no do good job, this and that. Experienced contractor will take this as early sign of problematic client will automatically raise the quotation price 10% at least. I call this type of ppl "streetfighter" because they treat life like game keep fighting everywhere they go. Very hard to please this kind of ppl that always think bad of others, to them the whole world cannot wait to grab money from their pocket while giving nothing in return. I usually quote very high price hoping they say no, somehow this type of ppl like it when being quoted expensive price. kek. If u are rude and cheap together, they start haggle i will tell them to find someone else.

I thank my parent for giving me enough FU money as financial security. I do not have to sell my own self-esteem to please the wrong ppl.

i would surely complaint about the previous contractor as a heads up for you not to do the same shitty job otherwise you got no chance to take this job in the first place if the previous contractor did a good job

My tiler charged me a whooping of RM29k to redo a 1000sqft space excluding flooring tiles materials which i need to provide myself.

Obviously the quotation are included to let me diao 9 them when they not even paying attention installing the thing by charging me a hefty sum of monies.

If you want untung, of course can, please provide good workmanship. That's what i told my previous contractor.

This is very true. I always treat CS stsff with respect. My best tactic is smile smile joke together with them. Always let them know i understand the sop, they are required to ask dumb question and usually has a set of procedures to make the customer go through before they can escalate the issue further up the line. My IT friend told me they have Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 support etc. Cannot cincai escalate or their KPI kena fuck.

F&B time i always look at them in the eyes and say THANK YOU for whatever. To let them know their job is not entirely thankless.

First one agreed that thennprevious contractor memang sohai based on his work quality

Second one said eh don't gaduh , ask him continue if possible blabla coz very difficult to sambung kerja . But he quoted a high price anyway
So went with first one.

If the me 10 years ago, I sudah letup refund them money tell them sohai dun come and dirty my experience. But the me today is let me kaotim you before we go and enjoice that fukken damn michelin what the hell so gengchau experience)

But once you did what I did, you'll be given that automatic smile at the end of the day. Koranks, I tatau, but each time my group or special arrangement finishes, the gift I'll get, wasnt a simple 50 quid tips.

They usually comes in a form of appreciation, such as first few day I simply answer, aiya I work hard so I can get my wife a Chanel, that gift is going to be a chanel small bag or tote or some small gift. Once I straight receive a cartier balloon as gift after the trip settle. My wife also received a Van Cleef Alhanbra necklace just for being nice to these sohai people.

if someone ask, shiok meh entertain these jokers? Nope its not.

But rich also jokers, poor also jokers. Why dont I serve the richer jokers instead of a group of poor fuck jokers? Now I kaya liao, poorfag jokers literally a trash in my eyes, unworthy of even inhaling oxygen. The rich might be assholes, but at least they'll pay more for the oxygen than the poor does.

Same lah... I also got sohai contractor for my Airbnbs. Bosses is always good being that know the shit you want. The issue is the macai, you tell them ABC they do EHHH BEEE SEE!!! for you. Then when shit hits the track, its your wife, macai, boss, regulation, Keir Starmer, Von De Layen punya issue make them unable to deliver as lengzhai as you imaginashunned.

Part of the reason I straight ditch all my AIRBNB venture for 50-100 quid price for maximum 90-100% occupancy throughout the month. Its sohai melanyun punya choice, semi value punya choice. I always think, my house is in london, my place is straight private, and in semi posh area, why should I put it barely markedup to rich man rent, and why should I kesian some pokaihumgarchan for unable to rent hence pity them?

I put 100 pound per night, 30 night occupancy, maybe 20 customer check-in, had to settle 20 individual punya shits, like repeatedly teach them machauhai stuff from day 1 to day 30 of the month, and worry the same worries 20x because it changed hand to 20 different people? (Very simple thing, the ipad/iphone that's provided to each stayer, if 1 sohai go put password before checkout or took the tablet+phone with them, the headache is serious.

But I put 1299 per night, in one month maybe max 5 pax, occupancy only 10 days in total, thats 13000k gross. Compared to the 100 pound per night and need to handle 20 individuals headaches, I can even rugi that Ipad and Ipong to them lel. My studio and life aint that cheap yo!

some contractors deserve to be diao-ed. not all people want to diao if possible. i didnt want to, even though my renovation stretched from projected 3 months, to 6 months. i feel like i've been taken for a long bloody ride.

the workmanship is horrible - wrongly installed pipe, leaking, tiling wasn't straight, etc, and i am still discovering defects 3 months in, and rectification is so slow; busy la, no workers la and now, trying to deflect responsibility. this is despite meeting them every week, they just ok ok will do like that. you press for new timeline, they say will adjust and blah blah, but work rate still the same.

this type deserve to diao or not?
