QUOTE(Sedih @ Dec 18 2025, 02:24 PM)
Bodo inside f&b also want to bring dog. Memang stupider than dog
*
Ppl these days stooped down to low as animals 🤦‍♀️ can’t help it

Someone has to open pet restaurant and see whether the pet owners will consume their pet food or not

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Dec 18 2025, 02:27 PM)
Mall is a business premise which under Local State/City Government jurudisction.

If PH state government and the DAP ADUN fella cannot fix the lemon law, so voter have to fix the politician.

Is like someone complain why allow to wear sexy into the restaurant, therefore ban the sexy dress.

even Lawyer question, where is the written law no pet allow in the Mall? Is the Mall even JAKIM certified?
*
There is no written law because mall it is under commercial license and there is loophole for pets allowed indoors subject to tenant agree or not

I believe this U turn is not because of the public but more of tenants making noise because they have the policy to subject whether their pets allow in their store as they have monitor that policy

Hiding behind state directive just plain cowardice and to save face

There is no jakim certified but soon another money making venture for them just to certify, comply and audit ventures

QUOTE(bashlyner @ Dec 18 2025, 02:33 PM)
The issue is with Megah Rise, Jaya One and etc going against state rule <-- according to DAP

So can expect domino effect on those malls once this precedent is set. No more doggo in mall soon
*
Outdoor no issue the problem is indoor hence why Megah Rise and Jaya one no issue because it is only permitted in open areas and outdoor

QUOTE(acbc @ Dec 18 2025, 02:41 PM)
Won't. PMX already scammed them.
*
PMX can promise anything just to win votes but as usual cannot deliver because he is just power hungry only

QUOTE(marfccy @ Dec 18 2025, 02:46 PM)
for #1 other countries can implement it well and make plenty of pet friendly malls, why cant we?

but yes i agree #2 that large dogs shouldnt be allowed, especially if known dangerous breeds
*
Not as simple as that 🤦‍♀️ because Malaysians are not tolerant and civic minded enough to respect other freedoms

Best example when a car accident happen in front of you 1st thing is to check whether the people are safe

Nope instead they will take out their phones and being busybodies start recording the scene

QUOTE(bengang15 @ Dec 18 2025, 02:49 PM)
Dont agree to this policy..malaysian are not matured enough (and I meant majority. Not all).
*
That’s why Malaysia is not developed country for that reason 🤦‍♀️ only 10% are developed enough to move the country while 90% are the ones making noises

QUOTE(WongTheThief @ Dec 18 2025, 02:57 PM)
ya this one

when I first saw the video I was like "you sure it's a good idea to bring THIS in?" even though owner is present but yeah just afraid of it go rampage and bite people

maybe the mall can improvise like this in the future if really can allow pets into the mall, just rough ideas la I'm not a pet owner in any way:
1. Malls should issue different shape of cart but strictly for pets, all 4 sides are grills, got cover at the bottom in case if pets will pee + poop wont drip to the floor, then need to hook from inside to the pets collar in case if pet want to escape = then you just push the cart around do shopping but shopping items are not allowed to put inside the pet cart
2. Must return to wash spot when returning = pet carts to be deep washed and sanitized, then charge the pet owner also for using the cart, charge per use or something
*
Not as simple as that as some pet owners are high class as they want them in their own pet carriers 🤦‍♀️ the easiest is to standardize the pet carriers and if the owner still want to bring them in the mall can create a new business revenue by selling the pet carriers to the owners

QUOTE(zerorating @ Dec 18 2025, 03:02 PM)
nope, i dont agree. malaysian are mostly helpful on this, getting the driver, passengers out of the vehicle is the priority.too helpful sampai barang hilang lel. maybe it just applies to some race only.
*
Never about the race issue 🤦‍♀️ but more how civic minded it is

Urban areas accidents there are more busy bodies and then helpful compared to kampung area whereby the villagers genuinely help the drivers and passengers

my house area(malay majority area) in puchong always got accident at cross junction, okay ja people help, dont see people busybody tangkap gambar/video except for insurance claim of course.

last time my car habis minyak(ya my dashboard meter cacat) or battery failure, got people help tolak in less than 30s. not all people are selfish as what many people thought.
*
Different area 🤦‍♀️ try just go nearby to Subang or even Puchong near IOI mall just see how many busybodies are there

QUOTE(zerorating @ Dec 18 2025, 03:30 PM)
sound like race issue to me.
much lower chance to get help from chainis driver than meleis motorist. why should i help you if dont gain anything out of it.
*
Hence why it is more of moral or civic matter 🤦‍♀️ hence why many Chinese failed their morality these days

Never ever about race because race divides the country more than ever since late 70s onwards

QUOTE(xpole @ Dec 18 2025, 03:45 PM)
I actually went there on their grand opening.

Some of the pet owners don't even use pet carrier or pet strollers

They simply let their pet sit on top of grocery carriers.

Some of the pets are not on leash btw.

Is this irresponsible?
*
Yes the problems lies in enforcing the rules

QUOTE(youngblood29us @ Dec 18 2025, 03:54 PM)
maybe a business decision..sunway sudah kecut telur when there were boycott calls..the mall cant survive with customers with pets only..
*
It is a business decision 🤦‍♀️ tenants making noise because they have enforce extra work for this policy coupled with Sunway want to save face and pride hiding behind so called state directive

QUOTE(DogeGamingPRO @ Dec 18 2025, 04:14 PM)
Jaya One?

Also under Selangor wor macam pet friendly all this while

https://www.jayaone.com.my/pet-friendly
*
It is pet friendly outdoors but no indoors

Pet shouldn’t be allowed in the malls particularly in the groceries and food section because it is just common sense for hygienic purposes which some ignorant pets owner is

Not uturn, last statement, state directive
*
What state directive 🤦‍♀️ it was purely business decision facing backlash from tenants

Look at how state councillor correct himself as it was never ever about pets but more on food safety and hygienic purposes

The media who hyped it this issue should be blaming for flaming and misleading the public including the cowardice Sunway square mall hiding behind non existent policies

QUOTE(loserguy @ Dec 18 2025, 08:19 PM)
Let me be clear, there is NO ONE stopping you from doing anything. I am not your teacher or your guardian. What I am, is just a random guy on the internet expressing my point of view. Feel free to disagree, that is fine. No problem.

You really do not need to lie or get worked up over things just because people do not have the same views as you do. That is normal. Only kaki bodek will agree with you all the time.

However there may be some laws that do not allow this. There are laws pertaining to food hygiene that prohibit this. If it is against the law, you have no rights. If you really believe in this, bring this up to your local assemblyman. Have them bring it up in the next council meeting, if he agrees.
*
There is an act covers it

Prohibition in Food Premises: The Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, established under the Food Act 1983, specifically address the presence of animals in places where food for human consumption is prepared or served.
Regulation 8(1)© requires proprietors of food premises to display a notice prohibiting the entry of animals to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination.
This rule is a fundamental safeguard against contamination from animal hair, dander, or droppings in food handling and preparation areas.

Also, the stupid lawyer for animals rights 🤦‍♀️ doesn’t understand there is an outdated law called Animal Act 1953 covers it but rarely being used because not many cases relating to animals other criminal acts being used particularly abuse and pets attacks

This is why even pet owners dont eat with their pets

But, freedom of choice they say
*
Ppl still doesn’t understand as there are laws for governing pets just that ignorant

QUOTE(knumskul @ Dec 18 2025, 09:56 PM)
Tu daerah Seremban la
*
Not in Seremban 🤦‍♀️ it is in daerah Petaling Selangor

QUOTE(junky_man @ Dec 19 2025, 01:39 AM)
Do you really think the mall was forced to not allow pets anymore?

Let me tell you one thing: money talks.

If the majority does not want to go to a mall that allows pets inside, you think the mall will survive?

If a pet friendly mall can bring money, we would have it all over Malaysia already.

But reality is, this decision is just business.
*
Like I said earlier tenant make noise then customer complaint hence to save face and pride hide behind non existent state directive 🤦‍♀️

QUOTE(Szzz @ Dec 19 2025, 01:44 AM)
Ng Suee Lim straight up said it himself

Sunway also said its Selangor government directive, then removed the posting probably due to pressure

Now NSL come out say not he do?

Want ban have more balls la next time

The whole thing started by Sunway Square management 🤦‍♀️ to save face and pride hide behind non existent state directive hence why NSL have to come out and clear the air

QUOTE(junky_man @ Dec 19 2025, 02:04 AM)
All good, it's a healthy conversation.

I mean, at one stage there was a supposed directive, but now putar say no directive.

So the mall operator, would be within their right, to u-turn the decision, no?

So why haven't the mall operator change back its stance to be pet friendly again?

One can assume that being a pet friendly mall is not a good business model.

Hence my earlier statement: money talks.
*
Tenants and customers complaints hence powerful to change the policy unless pet owners starting protesting and boycott the mall otherwise business as usual as long as money flows in

QUOTE(wolfx @ Dec 19 2025, 10:21 AM)
Its too troublesome to be embroiled in politics when the politicians themselves seem to be unsure on the laws and keep uturn on their words. So better play it safe for now and do something with the least resistance instead of keep uturn here and there making everyone confused.

Money talks, yes. I'm sure Sunway already did their market research and saw that making it pet friendly is still lucrative. The crowds on opening week is testament to this. Also, the gang terpaling Muslim are actually a minority and most Muslim don't really mind going to that mall, also as evidenced by the malay crowd after mall opened. Most ppl who bising are those from out of state who don't even come Selangor before.
*
What market research 🤦‍♀️ they already failed because look at the competition like Megah rise and jaya one for pets mall both are stagnant malls

Got crowds doesn’t mean actual spend per customer as the crowds during opening week are all there for freebies

The key is when after CNY is over whether the mall will be full of actual spending customers

Even so called 24 hour library will close down once the tenant have paid actual rent and utilities because the 1st 6 months is free and let see whether their sales can cope up with it

You only look at shopping only after 12 months whether it is sustainable because as you can see once hype is down they will start closing down as evident even malls like Atria, Paradigm and Jaya shopping
