This is an interesting study performed by Ookla, which shows that Malaysia initially had high median 5G speeds that have since deteriorated every single quarter. This trend is not noted in other countries from the region.

Just my personal experience in the Klang Valley region - a couple years ago, it was easy to get 200-300mbps, now I am rarely hitting above 100mbps and lucky to get 50mbps. So this lines up with what the study is showing, although the study did indicate higher median speeds.
I'm also thinking twice now to switch to Uhome 5G, the ULTRA5G network might seem like a good bet now, but what about 2 years time when there is more congestion? |
