A Levels and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma accepted and in line with Msian Constitution ....

UEC only accepted in IPTA Sarawak but not Peninsular Msia or Sabah ... because ... jeng jeng

Equivalent & International Qualifications
Selected IPTAs may accept the following, often via the "Alternative Pathway" or direct intake:
GCE A-Levels: Recognized international qualification.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Accepted by most major public universities.

Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / SACE: Accepted as equivalent to pre-university.
UEC (Unified Examination Certificate): Recognized by certain IPTAs for specific programs or through private/government-linked university wings (e.g., UniKL).
Compulsory Language Requirements
For all undergraduate entries into IPTA, the following are mandatory:
SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia): Must have a credit in Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah (History).
MUET (Malaysian University English Test): A minimum Band 1 is required for entry, though most programs require Band 3 or higher for graduation or professional courses.

Special Pathways
APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning): Recognition of work experience for adult learners (usually 21+ years old) to enter diploma or degree programs.
SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia): Level 3 certificates can sometimes be used for entry into specific technical diploma or degree programs.

Cannot directly enter Malaysian public universities (IPTA) with only IGCSE, as SPM is the standard; however, you can use IGCSE for pathways like A-Levels, Foundation, or Diploma programs, then progress to IPTA (often with SPM BM/Sejarah credit), or apply directly to private universities which widely accept IGCSE for their foundations and degrees.

My niece got no SPM, only IGCSE can only apply Private Uni only. Cannot apply PTPTN loan sumore. Syukur my brother in law work at Oman.

Even they dont want take BM and Sejarah SPM paper, coz long time dunno Malay.

SO ANYONE WANNA GO IPTA, DOESNT MATTER UEC OR IGSCE OR IB OR SAT, JUST SIT FOR SPM ALSO LA DEY. Policy been there since I was kids lorr
