I don't trust my data on the cloud. - One, I don't want to give my money to other people to keep my data on another server. Two, I don't want my data to be on someone else's system. Three, I don't want my data to be held for ransom.
My cloud is my own NAS. With 12TB space. I even backup my save-games on it.
It is your choice. But, treat this as friendly reminder. My cloud is my own NAS. With 12TB space. I even backup my save-games on it.
Cloud storage, service providers have backup. Anything happen to their hardware, your data still safe.
Your own NAS, you must make sure that you always backup. May be you need to buy another 12TB NAS, put it in different location, and set both NAS to synchronize with each other over the internet. Otherwise, if anything happen to your NAS, your data is gone.
