Keputusan Jabatan Peguam Negara (AGC) untuk tidak meneruskan rayuan terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Tinggi yang melepaskan dan membebaskan Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor daripada 17 pertuduhan pengubahan wang haram, dibuat mengikut lunas undang-undang.
Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata AGC memutuskan demikian selepas mendapati asas kepada kes itu adalah lemah.
“Ada sedikit keriuhan setelah Peguam Negara mengambil keputusan secara bebas tidak merayu dalam kes Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. Saya nak jelaskan kita ambil kes mahkamah ini bukan kerana dia itu penyokong kita, seteru kita atau ugutan.
“Dia ikut lunas jalur hukum. Bila didakwa? 2018. Apakah proses berjalan? Ya. Apa kata hakim? Lemah sangat kes itu,” kata beliau ketika ditemui pemberita selepas menunaikan solat Jumaat di Masjid Nur Al-Hidayah, di Kuah, di Langkawi hari ini.
Anwar berkata dalam kes lain yang dirayu sebelum ini, ia dilakukan kerana penghakiman yang dibuat memberi sedikit ruang untuk berbuat demikian. Namun, katanya dalam kes Rosmah tersebut, penghakiman yang dibuat seolah-olah membatalkan ruang untuk rayuan.
“Apakah kes ini mematikan kes-kes lain? Kes lain berjalan seperti biasa. Tapi saya ingin mengingatkan rakan-rakan baik pembangkang atau kerajaan ataupun badan-badan kerajaan atau badan guaman harus ingat bahawa prinsip keluhuran perlembagaan, kedaulatan undang-undang mesti diperlihara. “Jangan kerana kita tidak senang dengan satu dua kelompok maka kita mesti putuskan ikut selera politik masing-masing,” kata Anwar.
His response s totally wrong. What he should have done instead is to demand AGC to explain why the case is so 'lemah' and grill the AG if could have done a better job from the beginning or expedited the case. And after that, fire and replace him.

Doesn't matter, if anyone like Zahid, or Hadi or Moomoo become PM. They will all do the same to be in power. Who else can stop all of them. Citizen also still need to vote, who else you can deny.
Since PMX, all top corruptors Najib, Zahid and Rosmah courtcases all dropped and DNAA. Good job PMX to be part of 1MDB scandals …
