Kiwifruit originated from China, even though it's New Zealanders who made it known to the world. In China, kiwifruit is known as mihoutao 猕猴桃 (macaque peach). I bought mihoutao from a supermarket near my home. Mihoutao is smaller than a typical NZ kiwifruit. It tastes just like NZ kiwifruit, though overall, I prefer the latter.
