The Federal Court is the final rooftop in this city of broken promises. The air is thinner up here, and the view is clearer. But the prosecution is still looking down the wrong end of a telescope. [I]They’re trying to claw back a conviction the Court of Appeal threw out. Unanimously. You don't get a consensus like that on a bad hand. The COA already did the heavy lifting. They didn’t just find doubt; they found a structural flaw in the High Court’s entire argument. They looked at the prosecution’s case; the same evidence we’re all watching them argue over now and decided the man shouldn't have even had to take the stand. That's a clean slate. Up here, the Federal judges are less interested in the drama and more interested in the law. They see three lower judges, acting as a unified front, saying the evidence wasn't enough. To overturn that, they have to prove the Court of Appeal was grossly wrong, blind to a fact that’s screaming in their faces. They won't find it. The prosecution is arguing for a ghost. They’re trying to prove evil intent on a paper trail that only shows confusion and bad management. They’re running in circles, right back to the gaping hole the acquittal left behind. The defense only has to stand there and remind the court that reasonable doubt is a shield, not a choice. And a unanimous acquittal is a shield forged in fire. The acquittal is solid. The Federal Court will respect the consensus, shut down the appeal, and send the prosecution home with nothing but a bad taste in their mouth. Prediction: Acquittal UPHELD.
