RIP

Most fire training has always told us that it’s the most dangerous when a high rise / condo catches fire cause very hard to escape

At least landed house can climb out and jump down

But many still happy and willing to pay a premium to stay on the highest floor without regarding all the risk

It's quite old, probably never maintained the fire prevention system.

That’s why electrical safety is very important.

Malaysians want lower sensitivity for less nuisance tripping, using cheap local brands, ofc la it can’t stop this

In UK after Grenfel fire, most high rise need AFDD now. I can’t even find AFDD in Malaysia

Just few hundred extra can save lives

low cost building ka?

fire rated doors, even the cheapest can last 30 minutes, giving people ample time to run

usually the modern standard, they are 60 minutes type.

Fire stair uses fans to pump fresh air into stairwells creating a pressurization to allow people to escape and smoke not getting into the stairs become a death hazard chimney.

sprinkler system first line of defence to prevent spread of fire.

Knowning Malaysian attitude

Those inspection are yearly routine
Management paid thousand annually for the bomba FC
Either bomba inspection gaodim behind the scene
or someone in management not doing their job by cheating the resident each every year at the AGM

As usual la

building management outsource the risk to the fire inspection company

instead of spending 100k to replace the doors at one go, they just replace the critical ones in stages, so the insepction company control the building inspection for few years and you cannot change to different company.

many older building no need to follow the regulation as the fire stairs are open at the edge of the building, if overwhelm with smoke, you go to the stairs at other side of the building, cannot go you pray

Mmg not for human live one.

Road going in so small and so many traffic light. Inside and surrounding area all jam.

Condo next to one another no sunlight.

Lucky the fire night time. Imagine normal school day 1pm like that. Bomba probably need to be stuck in jam to get in.

Or if tahi alrdy at kastam but lift too slowthen lastly if got fire how

Plus I also wonder if the fire wipe out a floor... Will the structure integrity still be the same?
