Last chance to challenge the top spot post. Other films in 2025 have tried and all failed. Can Avatar 3, riding on the fame of its director and previous blockbuster success of its predecessor, finally beat the goal of exceeding $2.2 billions in box office gross?

I am actually surprised that Wicked 2 found most of its success in USA only, the rest of the world are not really that keen. I thought this movie has lots of fans outside USA. End up Zootopia 2 beats Wicked 2 completely.

Just to show that 2025 is indeed year of the cartoon.

Ne Zha 2 reaches $2.2 billions, mostly from China
Lilo & Stitch (live action) reaches $1.03 billion
A Minecraft Movie reaches $957 millions
Zootopia 2 currently at $955 millions, it is likely to breach $1 billion soon

The only other film having hope to reach $1 billion is Avatar 3 before 2026.
