they seem like dysfunctional family somehow when nobody talking to each other. mom, dad, daughter, son all eat quietly while watching their own phones. wtf?

Sometimes we are just both tired and want to dial down on the talking. If anything to share then we'll talk instead of being on the phone. Other times we want to catch up on news or see YouTube shorts together.

Except for the bold part, me and wife also were like that during our dating period back in 2009. Our relationship was practical rather than pretentious. It continue to be the same after marriage, so neither of us are expecting to be overly romantic like dating couples after marriage.
