technically, when people get nasty and even use hooman to chop spaces....

even now in JB... in Malls like Sutera Mall, or outside of it.... close to shophouse or infront of restaurant during meal times.... waiting for cars to leave....before getting space is very common action.

If double parking, always remember to leave your phone number infront of your car windshield + if you enter shoplots, remember that your hand phone may not get cellular signal.... so if the restaurant have a notice for you to keep on the car windshield and also come ask you to move your car.... do pay attention!!!!
