QUOTE(billylks @ Dec 9 2025, 04:11 PM) Just 2 trains per day. Definitely macam not serious Malaysia not enough money to buy more trains & coaches. Already using different financial model also ada banyak complaints! Not all the train & coaches have arrived. Timeline is 2027 for both Northern and Southern ETS.

QUOTE(GalaxyV @ Dec 9 2025, 04:15 PM) KL to JB = 331km like KL to penang liao... also need 3-4 hours. lebih baik sit air plane Last month naik high speed rail from Seoul to Busan and other way around 2.5hrs Very nice and silent, bring food drinks on board watch video etc More comfortable and convenient than plane One way ticket ~RM180 If can do that here I’d happily take, but unfortunately we just don’t have the scale of rail production and network here to get that sort of cost Taiwan HSR naik before also pretty nice, but that one kena Govt bailout dy I think if we let private build also will be similar fate kek This post has been edited by DogeGamingPRO: Dec 9 2025, 04:25 PM

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Dec 9 2025, 03:46 PM) Does this price include transfer to KL Sentral? KL Sentral is not my house. Doesn't bother me.

QUOTE(JoeYoung @ Dec 9 2025, 04:06 PM) Platinum with less stop is 4h30mins Just booked yesterday taking my mum for fun ride during Xmas 4 1/2hours is still long compare to flying. That is almost close to bus traveling time. Is the price “attractive” enough? Probably to people who prefer safer mode of traveling. They need something with even lesser stops like ekspres service in kl sentral-butterworth route to encourage ridership.

And trains have always been more comfortable than express bus. It’s a good start and an express service would be nice but they don’t have enough train seats atm.

It’s a good start and an express service would be nice but they don’t have enough train seats atm. It’s ticket price vs time. How much is the bus ticket? Most expensive/comfortable? How much is the flight ticket? I don’t know the answer. But that’s what people would consider when weighing their options.
