Russia, US & China has not fought any REAL WAR against peer competitor.
All those war they fight is either against some 3rd World country (Land, Air & Sea) or some goat herder wearing sandal (Land)

Real war would be across 7 domains: Land, Air, Sea, Cyber (Shutdown: Electric, Water, Comm, Banking, Transport & etc) , Electro Magnetic Spectrum, Near Space, Outer Space.
It would involved the usage of Drone, Autonomous vehicle, AI, Robotic, Hypersonic, Nuclear Submarine, Cyberspace, Hacker, Biotech, Satellite, Electromagnetic, BVR, Stealth & etc to neutralized the enemy. Boot on the ground is only for mopping up & secured the area, after it has been remotely neutralized.

No one ever have the experience fighting this kind of war.
A glimpse usage of BVR is the recent Pakistan-India War (Only Pakistan have the BVR tech)
A glimpse usage of Drone is the Russia-Ukraine War. (Both side also used Drone)
