in some cases it is probably cheaper to buy new 2nd hand car than restore flooded car.  sell the flooded car to kereta potong to recover some cash.

serious question: if drive in to thailand the owner have to buy insurance right? with such disaster which insurance can the owner claim? thai insurance or msia insurance?
if can claim from thai insurance, must the car be repaired in thai or can bring back to msia to repair and then claim thai insurance.

buy msia extension 101, provided they have special perils rider in their insurance. tow to border, then msia insurance side tow back to workshop

yupp

my friend is car workshop owner (his wife is my blood related relative) fixes like 3-4 of cars from beaufort flooding in this year, to the roof level flood type. One myvi and one saga i saw last time. I asked him why is the car sent here and he told me because their insurance didn't cover (didn't buy special perils), pretty new cars too. I also ask how much to fix these cars and he said around rm15k

all my cars have special perils lel
