CaltexGo app works smoothly, requires one time KYCC verification and then no longer required manual over the counter IC verification. So far so good.

Initially was smooth, then recently quite disappointed...Hv to reinstall the app due to server backoffice issue....

caltexgo relies on TNG to verify IC for subsidy 1 time (valid 1 year) then just use caltexgo to pay via TNG or credit card.

Just go into Caltexgo, select petrol station location, select pump -> full tank, then after finish submit payment (sometimes the payment part got issue thus just put the pump nozzle back and it will auto deduct from the credit card later within 1 hour depending on station, CC will hold rm200 during that time)

don't why people still like to queue up to give IC at counter then only pump, while parking their car at pump and blocking others.

Possible reasons is to avoid the need to install yet another app.
And some dont want to KYC for unnecessary reasons, dont want to give IC details unnecessarily to third party like petrol company who may not have the security controls of a financial institution

The only stupid thing with CaltexGo is that it needs to link with TnG, and I have 4 sim cards, for different purposes.

I can't complete the KYC, because my CaltexGo sim (used for less secure transaction) that I had registered is different from my TnG sim (used for more secure transactions)

No even need to have internet line on my phone

petronas fuel pump also same, unless use setel, otherwise just insert IC and CC then pay also at petronas.

So far caltex pump in my area didnt have this, either queue at counter or use caltexgo, for me i use caltexgo , no need take out IC and CC, just click on the petrol station and pump number and full tank can already

I also boycott Caltex over this. ALl brand can use terminal already this Caltex still cannot. Last time sometimes will use caltex for its techron. Now just petron or sometimes Shell or whichever accept IC

Somehow i heard that caltex feels more powerful due to techron additives?

After a few months they'll likely add IC support at pump POS, once they see their retail sales are dropping month over month, coz people prefer the convenience at other brand petrol stations.

So far, I think the easiest implementation is from Caltex and Petronas. No need to mess around with your IC and credit cards.

last weekend just pump at caltex (ara damansara).......got staff walk around petrol pump with card terminal thingy in hand, can check IC then payment by card without going to counter.

The TnG is for your Budi95 entitlement for the subsidized RM1.99/liter Ron95. Without it you will be paying the unsubsidized RM2.66/liter.

The app saves your credit card info inside. No need to go to counter.
1) Stop at pump. Stay inside car and open up the app.
2) Select the pump number and amount you wish to pump.
3) Wait for the pump to be ready.
4) Exit car, angkat, tolak, masuk, picit.
5) Go back into car, pay and leave.
