I think some fiddlers connect violins to a wah-wah so yeah, you could try the Metal Zone. But I suppose the results won't be nice, otherwise someone else would've done it already. biggrin.gif

Not sure what amplifier you have to connect to though, perhaps a full-range one.

I would think it may be unnecessary to hook up a Metal Zone to a violin as the violin already has a singing sustain (which electric guitars require distortion to achieve), unless you wanna play chuggy riffs on your violin (which I don't know if there's any technique for it though).

helo all. im planning to install a pickup in my violin.
i've only played violin for less than a year i think tongue.gif

anyway, i ask my electric guitar teacher , he say install FISHMAN pickup and it cost rm500( send to kl to drill hole)

so any recommendation on other pickup or watever feedback or maybe any negetif comment bout this?

oh ya, forgot to add, is it possible to connect

VIOLIN>>>>>> BOSS MT-2( metal zone )>>>>>> AMPLIFIER ???

No need to drill hole for Fishman pickup. Call JS Music for enquiry of the Fishman pickup, they have several models now. The technician there is well known among local musicians, he is a very skillful and helpful luthier.
