Yeah, East Asian countries do discriminate against Southeast Asians. But out of China, Japan, and South Korea, Japan’s approach is way more subtle and low-key, not as in-your-face as the others.
This is what happens when a country neglects developing its technology and economy, and instead obsesses over things like skirt lengths or banning alcohol ads in tourism. It does nothing for Malaysia’s economic growth. When a country is poor, all it gets is discrimination.
