No. At least not locally.

You can get those flame king or Mr heater fuel keg purpose-built refillable propane can from Amazon, got 1/5/10 lbs with free shipping. It's perfectly safe, in fact it's overspecced as it is meant for pure propane, which has much higher pressure than our standard LPG blend(~30%)

But it come with POL/QCC connector so you have buy the valve as well. Once connected to hose it doesn't matter unless you want quick coupling on the appliance end as well.

thanks, shipping is free on Amazon for those brands, I didn't know.

Could you point me the way on exactly what valve I need to get?

depends on exact brand.
Say if you go with mr heater or smaller flame king, it uses similar valve to our industrial gas - CGA600 or (some call mapp gas valve). You can buy the connector from shopee. Easy.

but the issue is on refilling.
If you want to diy its easy.
14kg tank -> unregulated valve -> hose -> CGA600 valve -> Small tank
just do this setup you can get all these from shopee.

if you want to feel more safe and confident, use the refill kit. Something like this

But this is where the challenge at. The kit has CGA600 on small tank end, but QCC on the big tank end, as it is designed for US market.
Ideally you will want this setup: 14kg tank -> malaysia gas valve to QCC -> refill kit -> small tank.
You need to find QCC adapter to fit whatever our version of valve is is called. Which I have found none.

Alternatively you may want to use little hack like this
14kg tank -> unregulated valve -> hose -> QCC valve-> refill kit -> small tank.
its much easier to source but defeats the purpose of using kit to avoid DIY elements (but still have niceties like capacity indicator and air purge).

there are also locally made ready assembly in shopee like this
https://shopee.com.my/Gas-Refill-Adapter-Le...029.25452390938
but its almost always come with CB connector (spray can butane format) so you still need to look for CB to CGA600 adapter, which all things considered, still a shit solution.

Yikes, sure sounds like a lot of work.

I’m guessing there are no local LPG refill facilities for non standard LPG tanks?

Yep. Lots of works. The fact that there are dozens of LPG/propane connectors standards in around the world doesn't help. Even indon and thai each uses different standards (although I feel our standards are the the safest and superior one).

No LPG refill that accept nonstandard one that I'm aware of. These fuel stuff are heavily regulated, so anything not following standard can't be legal.

It's a Weber gas grill. Model Q2200N

for small grill like this I think you can get away with just combined regular butane.

Its a slow firing grill, so 230x4 total capacity would go a long way. Just need to get lindal valve to horsetail coupling and reducing brass.

Even cheap pure butane would work fine without freezing since the gas is dawn slowly in parallel.
It doesn't offer best economy compared to DIY LPG refill, but its cheap enough for occasional use and readily available.
