This is news! Of course, we can't expect all Japanese to be the most honorable people - well, you know, they are known for Yakuza gangs after all, but even Yakuzas there have a code of conduct. And amongst all other nations, Japan IS one of the most disciplined, and people there live with higher grade of honor than many other countries. Hence, this is news.
