basically have to baby the car over each and every bump, pothole, or rough road, because even a simple scratch, scrape, or bend on the battery tray or its cover can void the warranty.

Yeah this is bullshit. In Act of God scenario It should just be to continue paying the remaining term on the lease, otherwise what's the point of having a warranty.

It got to with BMX intervention 🤦‍♀️ because they need to recoup rm800million on it and together another reliable source of SST

Any time the battery is replaced, you need to renew the lease. If your battery fails, goes below 70% capacity, act of god. It's all the same, you need to renew the subscription

Imagine after pay RM80k, then become a slave to Perodua at their mercy ... it doesn't make sense

Perodua shall just make full car rental model instead ... at least i won't feel like i pay for the car but being treated as if im renting it ...

I believe it not same.
If due to owner negligence as stated, the owner needs to pay up whatever outstanding on previous lease and sign a new 9-year lease for new battery.

If let say, the owner goes spoilt the battery during 3 years ownership, he have to paid up the remaining 6 years lease amount in order to replace a new battery and sign a new 9-year lease.

Probably they couldn't nail down a reasonable leasing price and hence go for a hybrid model instead hmm.gif

My statement is still true, if you understand it correctly. ANyway the point is that 'act of god' isnt something unique here.

Why need enter new 9 years lease. Imagine car already 10 years or near 70% of warranty. Kena act of god, then have to continue using junk car or they allow u to carry the lease over to new car, but obviously must be their car
