Yes, you are basically giving one person or group too much power until they will rob Sabah blindfolded and park their wealth in another country and then later blame semenanjung, the federal, Petronas.

Monopoly is simply bad, they will use their wealth to buy more politicians and more agency to further expand their greed.

And worst of all, they are not elected or hired, they will remain in power indefinitely.

Not illegal in Malaysia.

But like the US, they have an antitrust law to prevent monopoly.
