I think they do this rental mode based one experience with the rental trial on Ativa HEV. Remember that 500 units where the owners paid a monthly subscription with limited mileage (2k km) and pay 500/month for 5 years with all maintenance etc handled by Perodua. It worked well for that model, I think. Hence they are confident this rental model works, I suppose. Let’s see the sales pick up.
