basically they make mistakes and continue to do so
GAC = UMW Toyota of China, back in the day they were Toyota's factory now they make their own ICE cars under GAC brand.
Aion = Basically GAC's EV car arm, designs uninspired and boring.
Salute TCM for finding a partner who makes cars and philosophy as boring as themselves.
Wuling = Makes cheap and cheerful but uggos EV. Tested the Bingo last weekend, overall body reminds me of Perodua Kancil. Interior wants to copy that Mini, VW, Ora Cat vintage look but at lower quality. Driving UI/UX like most ICE cars, more of a transition to EV car or student car with its cheap toy looks and limited range. Something upper M40 fathers might buy for their daughters to go to Sunway or Taylors then go home, not enough range to go on joyrides.
Nissan Kick = good technology but the size, build quality and design asking price which pits it against Proton Emas7, Jetour Dashing and Honda HRV. It is basically an EV car that runs on petrol, a decent idea which is better than PHEV but paying above 100k but getting Perodua Axia interior quality. Sitting in the cheaper Jetour Dashing you can feel it is worth 100k especially with the gadgets and performance.
Nissan overall = dying brand under Stellantis. TCM should've taken Leapmotor franchise.
and Stellantis already JV with Leapmotor for international operations worldwide, of course they gonna take it themselves, TCM want take also cannot
