I don't see how it can. The political situation in Peninsular has reached a point where S&S seats really matter into the equation of who becomes Federal. This translates to bigger bargaining power, and the S&S parties know this. Some Peninsular parties have been trying to establish a foothold there but so far it has been rebuffed. yhtan liked this post

The politicians in S&S themselves are trying to stifle the growth in a way they can control. As do politicians ANYWHERE.

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Dec 3 2025, 03:07 AM) I don't see how it can. S&S has to give a BIG thank you to Najib for abolishing the Emergency Proclamation and the dreaded Internal Security Act. Before that, you could be detained without trial for asking for their rights. Like that Jeffery Kittingan fellow in Sabah. The political situation in Peninsular has reached a point where S&S seats really matter into the equation of who becomes Federal.
