my bro in law rented honda city from hertz in kk airport

around rm200 per day iinm, horrible car lel. it's not dirty or old but somehow suspension worse than even kancil

customer service was amazing though, my sis credit card dropped in between seat and center console, they came and helped her to disassemble it and retrieve the card

If go kundasang with 3-4 people better take 1.8-2.0 car..later kena potong by 4x4 hilux and van

We drove to kindangsang on myvi. Just nice though on certain stretches, have to shift down to 3rd gear. 4 pax.

First time drove bezza recently, that car is weak even if it’s empty

Europcar @ KK airport. Not the best car but the cars are decent. Around Rm150-200 depending on time and season.

Last time use trevo. Proton X70 RM280 for 2 days with new user discount.

the last time i rented car in sabah was before covid.
the experience was good, but a bit weird.

> i started with finding available car from rental website, fill in info, paid, get e-receipt
> on the day to pick up car, get msg whatsapp from rental PIC, with instructions, car plate number, model, color, etc.
> walk out the airport, went to said location, the car is parked there, unlocked, keys inside. just drive away.
> on the day of return, also just drop the car at the airport, with car key inside, inform the PIC, walk way.

the whole process, no human intervention.
oh ya, got option for if u choose full tank upon pick up, u hav to return with full tank.
if no such option, it means they will only giv u minimum fuel to start wit, only able to make it to the nearest petrol station.

both version also underpowered.
if u drive alone, or with 1 passenger, ok la.
with wit luggage, & more passengers, the engine struggles & drinks petrol like no tomorrow.

I rented once 15+ yeas ago, MyVi, all the way to Kundasan no issue.

batter rent diesel car when want go kundasang.

Majority already said it is sampan. It's only suitable short distance city drive not safe for long distance or climb hill.

flight arriving early morning and staying at island so plan to ride around with our luggage for a few hours before heading to jetty.

it's not that steep going to kundasang from kota kinabalu, it's quite mild slopes. the road to genting is way steeper on some sections, any car can go up genting conlanfirm can go up kundasang. Even batu 16 kimanis - keningau road is way steeper by quite some level vs kundasang road and selamba aja use loaded normal cars to go up
