If Perodua skip the launch the EV and release the replacement of Bezza and their compact SUV, things are going to be great for them
But no, they still die die wants to release EV car asap just like other automakers.
Not they sendiri die die want release
Is MADANI govt force them to make one and become jaguh kampung
This is pet project of Zafrul when he started pushing back in 2023, he was quite obsessed with EV at that time, official Tesla masuk also around that time after struck deal with him.
That’s why this was suddenly launched on December 1st. Because December 2nd was the last day of Zafrul’s tenure before he ended his term and no longer a minister, so he want his credit and see his brainchild.
Tahniah Madani

The car itself is fine. Hell, can blame Madani for forcing to launch with the 80k sticker price.
But Perodua also botched the execution. Weird things like the battery must have a 9 year lease, regardless of the actual car loan period. There was a report a while back that they were offering both lease and straight out buy, and it seems like the latter was dropped. Maybe they put so much effort into the lease (battery location tracking, remote disable, payment etc.) that they didn't want to dilute the BaaS.
