Charging and range
Inadequate charging infrastructure: The charging network is still developing, especially outside of major urban areas, making long-distance travel a concern.
Range anxiety: The fear of running out of charge before reaching a charging station is a significant barrier for many drivers.
Long charging times: EVs take hours to fully charge, while conventional cars take minutes to refuel.
Inconsistent charging experience: Public charging station availability and pricing can be inconsistent, complicating trip planning.

Cost and maintenance
High initial cost: The purchase price of EVs is often higher than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, even with government incentives.
Battery concerns: Issues include the cost and complexity of battery recycling and disposal, as well as potential battery safety concerns.
Maintenance and repair: Finding mechanics with EV expertise can be challenging, and some repairs might require a trip to an official service shop.
Resale value uncertainty: The second-hand market for EVs is still uncertain, which can make the long-term ownership cost less predictable.

Environmental and practical challenges
Electricity source: The overall environmental benefit depends on the source of the electricity used for charging. If electricity is generated from fossil fuels, the carbon reduction benefits are less significant.
Limited model choice: The variety of EV models available for purchase is still limited in Malaysia.
No spare tire: Many EVs do not come with a spare tire and instead include a temporary repair kit, which can be a problem in case of a flat tire during a long trip.

If i want to naik kereta lembu apa ko kesah, not your money

Lembu got good resale value. In fact it appreciates.
You get a small lembu to tarik your kereta lembu when it is small, when it is bigger and fatter, you can resell it for a good price, or if you want you can eat it.

Can you show me how to eat your EV or ICE car?

Read up buyer’s remorse

Some people feel regret for making the purchase but they don’t want to admit so defend their purchase with almighty heart

Chill lar unker. Its not perfect now. But it continues to get better and better like your pc/desktop tech.

With early adopter suppork. Who knows 5-10 years from now when solid state battery comes. EV may well be much more superior and complete product.

I'm not EV driver, but I can see EV is quite nice and I may get one in future, I feel people are not use to it only. Probably another 5 years then everything will be very stable.

Maybe I'm biased, but I definitely see more EV hater posts. Rarely do you see EV owner badmouth ICE.

Are EV haters that petty?

I usually read those PaulTan forum and i know why some EV users get angry there. Im an EV user and there is alot of misinformation. I've been using for almost 2 years. Its the best car ever.

Like range anxiety, thats up to the user. I never had range anxiety before, maybe because i don't drive to penang.

Long charging arguement is so dumb. Its 4 hours of charging IF YOU CHARGE FROM 0%. Like your phone, you don't leave it to 0% then charge, and you dont stare at the phone while charging. I go to work and back use 20% only. Then i charge at night while sleeping.

Most EV doesn't have black engine oil, so no maintenance. tesla doesn't have maintenance every 6 months. Only tire rotation at 10000km and change your own aircond filter every 2 years. Can buy at shopee. Wiper fluid also can buy at shopee.

If second hand value is a problem, then why dont buy those 2nd hand EV it should be value for money.

Conclusion, i would 100% buy again.
