I ordered a pair of CrinEar Daybreak’s off Linsoul’s AliExpress store on 22/11/2025 and today (2/12/2025) I received a message from POS Mlaysia saying that it is held at the customs. The price I paid is 470+ which to my knoedge doesn’t exceed the RM500 ceiling to get taxed. But the items original price is around RM570+ on AliExpress. POS Malaysia informed me to go customs office with invoice and bank statement to clear the item. Is there anything else or any payment I have to prepare before I go? First time kena haha

Getting Started

|
My item got tahan at kastam too recently and i found this old tread that saved me from having to travel all the way to sepang. Apparently can just go into pos malaysia website, chat with them, pay everything online and they will send the parcel to your doorstep https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4625264/+80

Hearing cases like these, it's not worth it to purchase items directly from Aliexpress anymore I guess. I presume if purchasing from Shopee the items won't get taxed as the duties may have been declared or paid together with the purchase price?
FWIW it may be useful to check with Starspickers if they can help you import the IEM that you intend to buy. Although they don't sell the brand of the IEM which is not listed in their website, they can actually help import it for you. I recently just bought a pair of IEM from them although it's not listed in their website. With local purchase the warranty is also covered, 1 year.
