Indian, please do this before you go China.
1. BYO universal adaptor. Your power plug don't work in China.
2. Get a smartphone outside of India with brand that is international eg. Like Samsung (try avoid Motorola) and subscribe to better international roaming service. Your India Telco sucks with MAX 10 GB roaming data per month. Your Motorola India can't even install any China app that is essential for daily life.
3. BYO a set of utensils complete with fork and spoon. China sure offer chopstick with less spoon and likely no fork in every eateries.
4. Please try local food or else you end up eating only egg fried rice or tomato fried egg rice with loads of chilli oil for the rest of your stay. Yes, you haven't see noodle before, haven't see prawn before, haven't see yogurt before, haven't see cafe latte before and many other foods that is not existence in India.
5. Please have courtesy to use translator app when visit to places like eateries, supermarket etc.
6. For your own convenience, please hire a personal China guide that speaks English and local for you to go around more comfortably.
7. Make sure your bank card can take cash. Give cash to guide and convert into E-wallet currency. Many nowadays will not accept cash in China.
