QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Dec 1 2025, 11:42 AM) When I was in my 20s, Japan is top of the list to visit... the JP travel marketing is stronk as hell, even people who have no interest in japanese stuff goes to japan because of socmed spam. but they all kept going same spots lmao (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto)Now Im 45 and still havent been to Japan... and losing interest in Japanese stuffs. thats why they dont really have over-tourism, only too many tourists flocking to same place causing congestion while the lesser known places are ignored. what makes Japan returnable to visit is because Japan walks the talk in terms of what they have to offer for tourists; you want shopping spree? got you want nature? got you want good food? got you want winter? got and so on.. yhtan liked this post

QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Dec 1 2025, 01:15 PM) 1) just alighted the train at a station and preparing to go to the hotel with my luggage, then saw a drunkard shouting "i will kill you" (in japanese, multiple times) at the platform, i just walked past and go to the nearest elevator, and then he took the same elevator with me, dllm. Luckily nothing happen, and he became normal again when see a station police. my friend when she was travelling in some rural part of central Japan, she got yelled at in the train by some unker in mixed japanese and english with words she can only understand "go back!"2) bought something at a shop, then i heard the cashier asked me if i have membership card, I didn't understand, so i asked him in detail in japanese (i also know abit of japanese). He heard my accent does not sound japanese, he just raised his hand, and not answered any of my question, oh well, i just leave the shop then. 3) I asked for a steam bun at a convenient store (in japanese), the cashier ignored me totally. Just a cold society, never feel like going there again. |
