To be exact, each year got 2 long sem breaks (each is around 2 - 3 months), 2 short sem break (each is 1 week). That's a lot more break compared to school teachers.

Worth it? Of course! Even though salary is not as high as /k standard, the /k standard salary is work until die. Midnight need answer calls. Toxic bossess. Everyday work more than 12 hours.

Professor? The income per work ratio is significantly higher. Work sikit saja, income return is high

Tongkat works better. But talent like your research performance also help you if you don't have tongkat. But with tongkat you'll succeed faster and easier.

Yes this one is largely true. Many college offer 4k salary for PhD fresh grad. This one should really avoid, unless you don't get any offer from other place and use it as stepping stone for experience before going for better uni.

Bro, Lecturer / Senior lecturer already sibeh good liao. You know Prof is hard to get or not? Not because of how good your performance is. It's because you need bin or binti at your name to get it. For nons, very very small chance get Prof. At most is Assoc Prof for nons.

It absolutely is. But to get it, is a very hard task. Once get it, it's a dream job that everyone wants. It may not make you super rich, but you can live very comfortably with money falling from sky without worrying jobs or stress.

Students are easy to trick one compared to bosses in company. As long as you:

1. Don't care them if they play phone during lecture
2. Give them tips for final examination.
3. Don't make the assignment too hard
4. Give them high grades (at least B), don't ever fail them
5. Joke in class and treat them like friends
6. Let them submit assignment late, don't penalize them

This is almost going to bribe them and make them like you. Probably you'll be the most liked lecturer among all.

Those shitty lecturers who face hardships and complained by students is usually because they don't know how to bribe students and they always make students angry. They are too strict, like high school teachers.

Again, jilat students is a way, way more easier than jilat adult boss. Students are naive and they clearly only want one thing from you: A good grade.

What you actually should scare is actually politics. Other lecturers or Deans will target you or finish you if they don't like you. They are harder to please than students. They will use tactics to make you lose your job if they hate you. That one really dangerous and need to be cautious.

For students who look down on you because they don't think you're pro enough to teach, just let them be. They won't do anything to harm you if you don't harm them or be offensive to them in the first place. Just do your job and get your money and go back goyang kaki. The students won't confront you anyway. Let them talk behind your back. Because no matter how good you perform, there's always be some student who don't like you. So, just make sure you make the majority support you, and the minority can't do anything.
