starting salary for newbie is 7k

after increment each year, 10k is guaranteed, 20k is also guaranteed if you work until retired.

Very relaxed and chilled especially at lower ranking uni, research output is not strict. KPI easy earned.

Flexible working hour

1 week only teach around 3 classes. Each class is around 2 hours. But you no need use up 2 hours. You teach 45 min and call it a day also can. Student happy, you happy too.

Some day no class, meaning goyang kaki

Got solo office, no roommates

If boring, can just go home or go watch movie

Semester break is damn long. 2 - 3 months for one long sem break.

To be exact, each year got 2 long sem breaks (each is around 2 - 3 months), 2 short sem break (each is 1 week). That's a lot more break compared to school teachers.

Worth it? Of course! Even though salary is not as high as /k standard, the /k standard salary is work until die. Midnight need answer calls. Toxic bossess. Everyday work more than 12 hours.

Professor? The income per work ratio is significantly higher. Work sikit saja, income return is high

Depends on which uni or college u joined

If u joined some shitty private college, some of the lecturer earned around 3-4k only

Agree .. some friend drop out form 5 do spray car, Aircon , electrician ...now all successful than me working 9-5...drive big car, stay big house, own business ..
