my car got banjir Sri muda, repaired under special perils, drives like even better than before banjir....

but seriously, mud stains under the carpet, inside engine bay, they are quite visible.

workshop dont do so thorough of a job in cleaning.
only where you can sit and see do they clean thoroughly.

under the brake oil filler, inside your dashboard, in odd corners of your engine bay etc. they dont clean

Unless dismantling the whole car
There will be certain nooks and crannies missed out

Even remove carpeting
You need to remove the plastic moldings at the gear dash area
The sides sill plastic molding etc

So usually they just clean superficially

but seriously.

if repaired under insurance, typically is ok.

only when out of own pocket do you see people skim here skim there, resulting in half ass repair.....

dismantle everything and wash from inside.

like i said, as long as it's never been turn on...it can be left to dry and cleaned
you don't really need to replace it

the key is never turning it on...ever
if it's turned on even once = GG cost

ECU TCU can be replaced for cheap if needed

New cars even in parked condition will have stuff powered by the battery

You'd be chasing gremlins years in future
