The tree camphor sourced from, dryobalanops aromatica is native to SEA. Camphor in ancient times were traded heavily through India and reached Egypt.

i dont know what exactly this ustat claim. but I think he probably marry the idea of camphor SEA origin with the idea of kedah tua being an ancient sea port as old as roman and egypt back then.

While driving in Thailand, you can get the kratom juice like people selling sugar cane juice all along the way.

The Thai government is, however, trying to control kratom sales nowadays, so you can't find them so openly like 1 or 2 years ago.

Ironic, since cannabis is still widely and freely available, despite the so-called "medical-only" new regulations.

If anyone wants to know, the kratom juice tastes like green tea.
