But that's if based on the assumption that there is only a choice between UMNO and PAS though to be honest.
If only between these 2 then yes, I would agree.
But as of now, PH degraded from better than BN to equal as BN. So presently BN still got quite abit of work to do before can overtake PH.

There isn't any need to ally with UMNO nor negotiate/entertain PAS or Bersatu if more Malays had to voted for PKR or Amanah last general election. Today's situation is because of the Malay's lack of confidence in those two parties, forcing the unholy alliance with UMNO to form the current government.
People forgot in 2022 that DAP only contested in 55 seats. PKR fought in 102 while Amanah battled in 54. Their victories added together were still less than DAP's.
