still got a lot of questions unanswered.

Paying the damn battery for 9 years and only warranty applied if battery drop below 70%

1. After 9 years, still need to pay or not need to enjoy lifetime warranty?
2. or there is no lifetime warranty?
3. how about inverter warranty, included?
4. if there is service dispute due to making the battery "kong" , still under warranty?
5. need to be service by Perodua lifetime in order to enjoy the warranty?

btw if all add up, than car costing above 110k ler

can think think Emas7 too

DOA, should've priced at 50k for body and rm300 baas monthly then only makes sense. might as well get the seal6 or atto 2 which is still cheaper than this and include battery
*
At max 65k and BaaS around RM150/mth..

Now this EV won't be Perodua normally target mass customers.
For those can afford and willingly to buy, there are a lot better choice with similar price range and maybe higher spec.

But if they can change/add in and ICE...and selling at RM80k or below.. then whistling.gif

the mysterious part... we know chassis is from Magna, battery from CATL. but the the 2 other most important component for EV - the motor and BMS is unknown

If me, I will not waste RM800M on R&D for EV.

Because
1. EV technology are changing fast
2. P2 don't have the volume
3. There is no confirm big market for it unless go for affordability market segment.

This P2 EV pricing is so wrong and timing also so wrong as well.

Well play for P1 launching the eMas5 before P2
They really killing P2 EV in terms of price segment and size.

P2 should just find China EV manufacturer and get the right to manufacture and selling in Malaysia. Imagine if P2 work with BYD and got the right to produce Atto 1 and Atto 2 at very affordable price. It win win situation for both.

Me surprised they go choose Europe guy do EV design and kena charge kawkaw Euro. The design especially the lack of 2nd row leg seating due to battery placement are so old fashion. It already well-known customer dislike those seating arrangement.

RM800mil not using government coffer money, it is using Perodua money and resources
*
Agreed but this RM800M will write off as expenses against any profit P2 generated. Indirectly gov will collect less tax and hurting themselves. If gov give double tax deductible, then really Sohai lor

They didn't promise within the leasing year the battery subscription fee does not increase. We all see other service subscription fee will increase 3-4 years later.
*
There will be a lot complication later.

Example
If involved in accident, car minor problem, EV batteries got damaged, Claim under which 1? If batteries not under yr insured item list since it not own by you. How?

If car total lost or major accidents but battery still OK. Need continue paying RM300/mth until end of 9 years?

If battery technology getting better and cheaper, will replace better batteries or reduce the monthly amount?

Will P2 keep it promise after 9 years can renew at certain prices? Or like others brand, charging absurd amounts to discourage sign up?

$800m is P2 own's money lettew

youtuber sos cakap this QV-E is developed on modular platform (sedan/hatchback/SUV) to suit different powertrains altogether (ice/hybrid/reev/bev)

so the R&D cost is shared across future models / currently in development (new myvi)
unlimited km mileage battery warranty as boasted by P2

I think only you believe this is true.

Perodua always release complete new model very very slow, like 1 in 10 years laugh.gif

by that time, current R&D need another R&D to upgrade the look of it whistling.gif

Yup
Can calculate as battery 9yrs is RM297 x 108 months = RM32,076

Car Price RM80,000 + Battery RM32,076 = RM112,076

Assumption Loan: RM72,000 (9 years).
Monthly payment is about RM805
Total interest approximately: RM15,000

So total cost of ownership is Car + battery + interest = RM127,076

This P2 EV business model hard for Malaysian to swallow.
In EU or countries with 3times fuel cost may be can be accepted.
*
This is minimum amount.

If the battery fail at 6th year, replacement of battery triggering restart 9 years leasing again. If not, u got a useless toy car going nowhere. You also cannot "curi curi" repair or replace battery outside too. Really Hotel California

nah..i already saw on fb people coping hard say 6~7 later outside will be workshop to fix these car...lol doh.gif
*
Lol! They didn't read the TnC ar? The battery are P2 property ler. Owner just renting it. P2 have the right to disable the battery too.

Plus the body and battery cannot separate if want to sell later and renew the leasing.

believe me, they did. and they most likely SA or related person to push the sales whistling.gif
because people know a little car know this is sh*t hole and endless void
*
Haha... Hope they didn't think can replace with ICE in it

Anyway, if P2 turn Myvi got EV version plus similar pricing as now Myvi without this BaaS shit.. surely can sell like hotcake

Never try reinvent a wheel especially P2 are not big enough to be market leader. Let those big taikor car manufacturers lead the way. Even Japan manufacturers dare not jump in.

Either Japan manufacturers they lack innovation to pursue EV or saw the downfall of EV shortcoming. Nobody knows for sure, only future will tell.
