99k with battery will sell like hot cake believe or not whistling.gif

At 99K you can get e.MAS 7 Prime and BYD Seal 6. It's kinda lacking to compete at that price range.

the mysterious part... we know chassis is from Magna, battery from CATL. but the the 2 other most important component for EV - the motor and BMS is unknown

If me, I will not waste RM800M on R&D for EV.

Because
1. EV technology are changing fast
2. P2 don't have the volume
3. There is no confirm big market for it unless go for affordability market segment.

This P2 EV pricing is so wrong and timing also so wrong as well.

Well play for P1 launching the eMas5 before P2
They really killing P2 EV in terms of price segment and size.

P2 should just find China EV manufacturer and get the right to manufacture and selling in Malaysia. Imagine if P2 work with BYD and got the right to produce Atto 1 and Atto 2 at very affordable price. It win win situation for both.

Me surprised they go choose Europe guy do EV design and kena charge kawkaw Euro. The design especially the lack of 2nd row leg seating due to battery placement are so old fashion. It already well-known customer dislike those seating arrangement.

Another stupid intervention or directive by the government. I see no reason why we should waste RM800m and it is not even cheap. Just for the bragging rights? Are they able to continue with further development when the product lifecycle for EV is so short. Are they able to sell overseas and compete with China?

Agreed but this RM800M will write off as expenses against any profit P2 generated. Indirectly gov will collect less tax and hurting themselves. If gov give double tax deductible, then really Sohai lor

Perodua is owned by UMW/Toyota which is owned by Sime Darby which is owned by PNB so indirectly taxpayers money is involved. Toyota only owns 10% of Perodua.

Each company has to spent some money into R&D to launch new product, sitting there do nothing baru betul betul tunggu mati

So u expect Perodua to stuck with Daihatsu and not doing anything on the EV development? They have to start by hook or crook to align government policy of zero carbon emission by year 2050.

Protruding battery like Honla?

Seems like confirm not CATL skateboard platform maybe some outdated platform from Magna

user posted image

Or is for “easy and fast battery swap” like they claimed some time ago I remember

So u want to buy the car without the battery?
*
P2 already stated Battery compulsory to be included to buy the car. So what is the leasing means? If this the case what is the point to state leasing, if it it still the same like you loan fully for the car.

This must be giving some ideas to say phone manufacturers.

Here we have the iPhone 20 selling @RM5,999.00 without the battery but it's available for an additional RM1,099.00. Brilliant innit?

If follow qve leasing program, then iphone 20 selling 5999 unlocked but under whatever lution carrier plan, you get the phone for 3999, monthly payment in postpaid bill is rm90 telco + rm50 battery leasing, contract 24 months need pay full telco + battery fees in bill during this period or else early termination is full remaining months of telco + battery fees

18 inch easier to find tyre with enough load rating. Also they are cheap now. Gone are the days 18 inch tyre rm800 each.

Contract mean, cannot do full settlement earlier must finish the full 9 years month payment, is it? Bank banyak untung intesrest lor. Because next year gomen implement the new law to loan for abolition of the flat-rate and the "Rule of 78" interest calculation methods in favor of the fairer reducing balance method which is benefit to early settlement.
