Chinese suffered a lot under Suharto's rule. And he's not even from a  religious party.

Those are 99% Muslim majority states, as for Kedah they are less extreme there for a reason

But yes your point stands, I'd never vote PAS for states. It's different at federal level, even if they have the balls to go all-in, they wouldn't have enough power without ticking off their other allies.

What can they do? To me "moderate" = won't fight.

1. They are afraid of the hardcore fundamentalists too.

2. It will affect the nons a lot more than them.

To be clear, Muslim nations are all allied with China, and they have a romance going on.

I'm sure many C here have a hard time processing this, so they just don't think about it. laugh.gif

Geopolitics is a scary mindfuck. All kinds of crazy people are supported as a means to an end. But wtf is the end goal?

This is the only way I can make sense of things:

"當他們說要顧全大局時,你往往不在大局裏;當他們說不惜一切代價時,你往往就是那個代價。"

It is known as "Cutting off one's nose to spite one's face."

Bla bla PH problem bla bla DAP problem bla bla BN problem.

But wat is the alternative? Yes, an extremist party or coalition. Then the complaints of another flavor will still come.

They even actively support it when certain situations arise like during India’s pak war… their hate for yindia combined with full on motherland nationalism overcomes any qualms about living life without foreskin or pork…

Voter turnout only 60%, if higher, story can be slightly different.
