In 2018, if you say anything bad about DAP, you immediately got bashed by many people. Funny, where are those people today? All hiding their faces in shame in some caves?

i think it's justified, because back then they championed transparency, justice, meritocracy and a malaysia for malaysian vision. They're always present when community issues happen, though they're just as useless then as they are now, they still entertain the concerns back then.

when they're in power, they're on absolute gag order. Even the most basic community issues, they didn't even want to see the people. They're deaf to everything they championed for when they're in power.
They're living in their own world and wash their own guilt by 'doing their job', make a circle and pat themselves on the shoulder saying, "good job guys, we did well".

The supporters who backed them up previously and are missing now are a perfect representation of people stopping their support when they're no longer worthy.

This what every citizen should do. The political party is not a football club, you don't need to be loyal to them when they're shit every week.

These people are naive teenagers living a utopian dreams. They don't know what is the meaning of "politic". It's like a prostitute preaching about the chastity and yet believing the prostitute.

we're young nation, and have been shackled by one dominant party for 5-6 decades. The generational looting has become so complacent that they're doing it openly, and for once, the people are united for the same cause (with different reasons), and seeking a vehicle/catalyst of change, and then comes the fearless rocketman spearheading the charge.

naive yes, but it sheds much-needed positivity for once, and empowers the people from fear and diversions. it will be a platform for next, if any, reformasi.

i wouldn't be all too pessimistic on the change, but at the same time acknowledge PH + DAP is transitioning into BN + MCA 2.0

It mainly comes down to the Sabah for Sabahan sentiment. Everything else is just extra factors.

Most young voters in Sabah have long seen DAP as an outsider from Semenanjung, and certain groups have weaponized that narrative even before the election.

DAP is not completely innocent either. They acted like they were standing on top of Mount Kinabalu after the last Sabah state election. Now they have to start from the bottom again, and hopefully that becomes a lesson for them heading into GE16.

GRS has Musa’s blessing, Warisan does not. The past betrayal is still fresh in these people’s memories.

PAS got lucky with one seat, nothing more.

Swing votes are nothing new in Malaysia’s elections, it happened nationwide during GE15 as well.

Then, we have PH.

The biggest loser compared to DAP.

Yes, they won two seats, but there is nothing to celebrate when those wins rely on two kataks.

It shows that their internal party issues are still bad. Hassan Karim and Rafizi remain as the 'outsider' voices in PKR who dare to question every move, whether as the government backbenchers or as a political party members.

Do take a hint, our dear PMX. Check those people around you, they will be your downfall in GE16.

Rafizi's stay in PH is crucial now, as his absence from the party will signal a complete shattering of confidence both internally and externally. As of now, in the eyes of the people, he is the very soul of reformasi, not anwar, not rocket, and definitely not PH.
