I hire those with great attitude to learn. But most of them 1st class. I only 3rd class. At least I feel they can make my life easier if they no attitude

I agree. Those average/above average students would work hard to achieve academic success.

Those with high IQ would usually have low EQ. This can be seen in most successful people around the world. Hard for them to work with others because those around them do not have the brains that these smart ones do.

For this guy. I'll give credit to him for sure. Unfortunately, his attitude eclipses his achievement. His justification that he's better than everyone. Yes, he's definitely better than most candidates but may not definitely be the best. Maybe he was just good by the books not technically. He needs to stay humble. He may voice his dissatisfaction to his friends/family but not on social media where you will be judge. He thinks he would be gaining clouts for doing so, however, it seems to have backfired.

I once joked Infront of my potential employer. It wasn't anything mean it was just to joke about being more optimistic and I received a backlash reply from them. From that day onward, I learned a lesson not to joke with people you don't know. Everyone is different.

Likely he lost to a candidate with working experience. He thinks that grade was everything; he disregarded that he was actually competing against experienced candidates that requested the same salary range as he did.

Intern means nothing. Basically u were a free kuli. I had an intern from UM too. He did very well for his grades and numerous intern experience, unfortunately, he was lacking technically. He applied for a PhD, shortlisted but was not offered a scholarship; thus, he was not taken in by my boss. Basically, he's competing against candidates with Master's degree with strong record of publications. This can easily translated to this Alvin guy, who thinks grade is everything. My intern was rather humble and willing to accept his fate, look for alternatives, instead of blaming others for not accepting him.
