I've been reading some threads in XDA and come accross some mods there like CID-unlocker.. Just want to confirm, those mods are for PDA's that are under a certain service providers right?

Oh, and i just got my touch cruise and a noob in pda's.. So, how do i go about upgrading roms etc? And which roms are recommended? Anyone care to enlighten me?

Any reason for them not wanting to release 6.1 for cruise?

I see, back when you were using 6.1 on cruise, was it stable? any downsides to it? Ours would be the WWE version right?

Was reading XDA and noticed how a lot of buyers have had their screen cracked etc. Is it very common in PDA phones or is it just TC? Any forumers have had this problem?

SO, anyone actually updated to the official 6.1 rom yet?? I wanna know if it's worth to update it..

btw, there's now a 3D driver for the TC!!! YAY!!! (though, i don't really know how does it affect our daily usage.. Maybe gps would be faster)

Nd4fun: Don't they have the mapking software included in your phone package? you can always use that..

In my opinion, i think it's quite pricey.. Try to shop around before making the purchase..

They have just released the cab for 3D few days back.. It's not officially from HTC though and i doubt HTC will release an official 3D driver.. But it sounds pretty promising (the driver i mean). Pretty soon, we'll be able to run manila 3D on our polaris!!!!

Oh, i'm not too sure about this, but i've heard that the polaris 3D drivers may be better than the diamond..

Have you updated your rom to the 6.1?? Any comments on it?

P.s: As far as i know, the 3D driver will only work with WM6.1.. So if you haven't updated your ROM to the latest one, better not run the cab file..

They are? I don't know.. Mine's perfectly fine.. Well, except for the rather outdated maps.. but works perfectly fine for me.. Never prompted me for reg key or something before..

Eh? Strange.. The program should be free to use right?? And ur only limitted to one map.. Or at least, that's the case for me.. But anyways, I plan to use another software.. Too many road names on the R12 map which cramps up the screen as compared to my friends garmin.. Though of course, his is not a phone.. so it's definitely better..

I though twe're using WWE version? Shouldn't we be able to use the WWE update and not the regional one??
